Will you share your story?

In 2026, there are so many ways to make a living. Countless jobs that didn't exist before. Most of them never come up at school.

I want to show high schoolers what's actually out there.

Through real people and real stories. And I'd love you to share yours.

What I'm building

A platform for the stories nobody tells.

When I was figuring out what to do after school, the picture of "work" I was given was pretty narrow. Same handful of careers, repeated on every list.

According to ANZSCO, there are over 1,000 classified occupations in Australia. Students are only aware of a small fraction of them. Newer jobs, the ones that didn't exist a decade ago, barely come up at all.

So I'm building a place where people share the real story of their work. How they got in, what the day-to-day actually looks like, what it takes, and what they wish they'd known earlier.

Trades, creative fields, technical roles, hospitality. The careers that rarely get a proper look in school. That's what this is for.

You can Google any job title. You can ask AI what it's like to be a plumber or a nurse. What you can't replicate is a real person saying "this is my life, this is what I actually did, this is what I wish I knew."

What's in it for you

This is a volunteer project. I won't pretend otherwise.

But here's what I can offer in return.

01

A profile page on the platform

Publicly visible and linked from the browse directory. Your story, findable by anyone exploring your field.

02

Your business or work, listed

Sole trader, run a business, or want to promote your craft? Your details and links go right on your page.

03

Be the person you wish you'd found at 17

Your story could be the one that changes where a young person decides to point their life. That's not a small thing.

Takes about 20 to 30 minutes. If you change your mind later, just email me.
